Inspire Women $2,500 Scholarship for Best Spiritual Message

Inspire Women will award a DTS scholarship up to $2,500 to the student judged to deliver the Best Spiritual Message. The entrance deadline is October 1. Both men and women are eligible. To enter, submit the transcript of a ten-minute spiritual message along with a CD of any talk, to demonstrate your speaking style and ability. An independent panel will select the winner. The winner must be present to receive the award when it is announced at Inspire Women’s Citywide Conference on the evening of Friday, November 6, at the Fountain of Praise Church. RSVP: Contact Avis Blake-Thomas at your earliest convenience if you are interested. Avis will log your interest and watch for your submission before the deadline of Oct 1, 2009. Winner will be featured on Anita Carman’s weekly devotion that reaches over 6000 and on her Houston Chronicle chron.com/citybrights blog.

Global Ministry: From Everywhere to Everywhere

This is a rare opportunity to hear from Greg Parsons, general director of the U.S. Center for World Mission (www.uscwm.org). Greg has served with USCWM since 1980, and he also has served on the boards of the two major associations of mission agencies and the Adopt-A-People Clearinghouse.
