Registering for a Thesis for Spring 2010?

Your thesis topic must be turned in by November 1, 2009 for approval. This means you should already be discussing your thesis topic with the potential reader and the department chairperson in preparation for this date. Stafford Loan Spring 2010 Application Deadline

Stafford Loan Spring 2010 Application Deadline The deadline for submitting a Stafford loan application for the Spring 2010 semester is November 1. Required application paperwork includes the 2009-2010 Stafford Loan Request Form and the 2009-2010 FAFSA. First-time borrowers at DTS must also submit a Master Promissory Note (original, not faxed). All completed paperwork must be turned in to the financial aid office by November 1 in order to count toward the Spring 2010 payment deadline. After November 1, students may still apply for a Stafford loan but must make alternate payment arrangements for the payment deadline. Youth Ministry Cooperation and Networking

Logos Bible Software

The Logos Bible Software is an expansive Bible study tool that many users do not fully appreciate and utilize. Come learn more about the program and how you can use it to meet your research and study needs. Dr. Hall Harris will be hosting the brown bag showcasing using keylinks, preferences, and visual filters. Also, there will be time for you to ask specific user questions you might have. The brown bag will be in TODD 114 on November 10th from 11:30-12:30. See you there!

BSF Expressions

Expressions is designed to help Dallas Theological Seminary students in general and the African American students in particular apply their seminary preaching training to the unique cultural setting of the Black Church with the help of experienced Alumni. Our goal is not to compete with but to enhance their learning experience specifically in their application to the Black Church environment. Each session includes 2 seminary student speakers, a DTS alum pastor who offers critique, and student artistic expression. Join us on November 12 at 7pm in the President's Room (next to Cafe Koine).

Joni Eareckson Tada Returns to DTS

Joni Eareckson Tada will be speaking in a special chapel service on Monday, December 14, at 1:00–2:15pm. A question and answer time will follow from 2:25–3:40pm. Participants for the Q & A panel will include DTS professors who have participated in the new class, “A Biblical Theology of Suffering, Disability & the Church.” A special disability dance group, 16 girls, ages 5 to 13, will perform at 3:25 pm, led by Julie Mayberry.

The chapel will be open to all DTS students and faculty, as well as anyone interested hearing Joni and learning more about our course and her ministry, so please come and invite your friends.
